Starting in 2010, in collaboration with the Regione Veneto, the Museum of Natural History in Venice launched the Progetto ARVe (Atlante dei Ropaloceri del Veneto – Rhopalocera atlas of the Veneto) dedicated to learning more about butterflies of the Veneto.
This has seen the involvement of about 200 volunteers over a period of three years.
Upon the conclusion of the first phase of the project, the museum has organised a day dedicated to butterflies, with conferences for adults and educational activities for children.
On the same day, a photographic exhibition of the best images drawn from the project’s vast archive will be inaugurated.
